Two more people are now in custody related to a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

The arrests follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was among the injured in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been released.

Police arrested a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of several individuals hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
