Intensive Moscow's Strikes Eliminate Electricity Across Kyiv

Energy infrastructure under attack in the region
Ukraine's energy systems have faced increased strikes in recent weeks

Throughout the evening, Moscow's aerial assaults have resulted in power cuts in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were wounded while inhabitants in the city's east were left without electricity and dealt with problems to water systems, as stated by local authorities.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was killed in a distinct assault in the Zaporizhzhia region in the country's south-east, based on information from regional authorities.

Russian forces has increased attacks on electrical systems over the past few days, while Ukrainian leadership has requested "real steps" from international partners to exert influence on Moscow.

"What is required is not superficial actions but decisive action - from the US, Europe and the G7 - in providing protection systems and implementing sanctions," was stated in a social media post.

Authorities reported that numerous aerial vehicles and more than 30 projectiles targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, labeling such attacks as "cynical and calculated" and against "critical infrastructure" as temperatures become colder.

Government representatives said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and repair crews were striving to restore power.

A barrage of missiles hit power facilities and apartment buildings in the capital.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the strikes on the city have been transported for medical care, per statements from municipal representatives.

Local officials said the urban area came under intense attacks overnight. A minor died and multiple civilians were hurt.

The assaults come after evenings of air raids in the area, parts of which are currently controlled by invading troops.

The entire country is in a state of readiness for advanced weapon attacks, which are more difficult to detect.

Government officials told reporters that Russia was deliberately attempting to damage the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already disrupting fuel infrastructure.

Officials stated energy workers and government agencies were anticipating further attacks.
