I will stamp all over 'serious fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters met personally to publicize the upcoming bout.

Former two time world heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving massive earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the traditional face-off, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really happening.
